The Czech band demonstrated this especially well on their latest full-length, Omniabsence Filled by His Greatness, delivering a serious, dark, ritualistic assault tailored for fans of black metal. Drünken Bastards interview with Márton Pelényi "Captain"

Drünken Bastards offers not only raw music but also an equally wild mentality. These five mad Hungarian maniacs play dirty, alcoholic metal & punk—a blend of old-school black/thrash, '80s hardcore/crust, and punk'n'roll. Since forming in 2004, they've been raging from party to party, fueled by booze and chaos. With their second album on the way, we caught up with frontman Captain for a no-holds-barred interview.

Deathhammer interview with Sadomancer

If there's any band that fully embodies what we know as '80s metal, it’s Norway’s Deathhammer. These two maniacs have poisoned their bloodstreams for years by obsessively listening to the maniacal, witchy, and satanic extreme albums of the ‘80s in the name of "true metal", and they’ve translated that into blasphemic blackened thrash metal. Their concept reflects the raw, savage spirit of '80s German and South American thrash and black metal, as well as early '90s pure black metal. The result is a deadly slab of raw metal. What sets Deathhammer apart among countless other "old school" revivalist bands is their characteristic identity and approach. We spoke to drummer Sadomancer for this interview, and it's finally complete today.
