Brutal Assault has officially completed its 2026 line-up with one final wave of additions, bringing even more diversity to an already stacked bill.
Leading the final announcement is American deathcore powerhouse Filth, whose crushing sound and relentless live energy have earned them a growing reputation in the modern extreme metal scene. Joining them is Slovakia's Patriarcha, a rising force in blackened death metal, delivering a dark and uncompromising blend of atmosphere and aggression.
The Czech underground is also strongly represented in the festival's closing announcement. Altars Ablaze will showcase their devastating fusion of death and black metal, while Ostrava-based death/thrash veterans Nahum bring years of experience and ferocious intensity to the Fortress. Rounding out the final additions is the genre-defying První Hoře, a legendary Czech act known for combining progressive rock, avant-garde experimentation, and theatrical performances into a truly unique live experience.
On a less positive note, Chelsea Grin and Rise of the Northstar have unfortunately been forced to withdraw from this year's edition. While their absence is undoubtedly disappointing for many fans, the festival organizers have expressed their commitment to bringing both bands to the Fortress at the earliest possible opportunity.
With these final additions, the Brutal Assault 2026 roster is now complete, once again showcasing the festival's trademark balance of established names, rising talent, and some of the most exciting acts across the spectrum of extreme music.
