German thrash metal veterans EXUMER have announced the release of their long-awaited new studio album, Death Mask Messiah, which will arrive on August 28 via Metal Blade Records. The album marks the band's first full-length effort in seven years and signals a powerful return for one of Germany's enduring thrash metal acts.
Serving as the follow-up to the band's previous studio releases, Death Mask Messiah sees EXUMER pushing its sound in a heavier and more direct direction while remaining true to the fast-paced riffs, aggressive rhythms and uncompromising attitude that have defined the band throughout its career. The album features 11 new tracks that showcase both the group's classic thrash roots and a sharper, more modern edge.
Production duties were handled by Dominic Paraskevopoulos, whose previous work includes Kreator and Caliban, while the album was mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk, known for his collaborations with Soulfly, King Diamond and numerous other metal artists. Together, they have helped craft a powerful production that complements the band's relentless approach without sacrificing its old-school intensity.
