British gothic metal legends PARADISE LOST have unveiled the official music video for "Serpent On The Cross", the second single taken from their long-anticipated 17th studio album, "Ascension", set for release on September 19 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Marking their first full-length in five years since 2020’s critically praised Obsidian, the new album was produced by guitarist Gregor Mackintosh and mixed/mastered by Lawrence Mackrory, promising another deep dive into the band’s dark and melancholic soundscapes.
Speaking about the new track, frontman Nick Holmes explains:
"The cross represents stability, prosperity, hope and happiness. The serpent represents trepidation, anguish and overbearing sadness, lurking in the shadows ready to take everything away."
